1998-2000: Received project grant from The Israel Academy of Science (together with Dr. A. Levy from the Technion Medical School) for the study of the Tolerance of the Subterranean Mole-Rat to Hypoxia.

2002-2005: Received a EU grant for the study of the molecular biology of Neuroglobin in the Subterranean Mole-Rat and its Relevance to its hypoxic Tolerance
