Model organism: Drosophila

The main aim of our research is to understand the molecular-genetic mechanisms of population adaptive differentiation caused by stressful and fluctuating environments (spatial variation of microclimatic conditions) using Drosophila as a model. Study combines field research with molecular techniques and laboratory-scale experiments to address major issues in adaptation and evolution.
